Really? How do you mean?

[It's a good idea. Oda loves books, may have defaulted to that option regardless of who he drew, so to know that it would land with Takahashi is encouraging.]

Any particular topics?

[To be an expert in every medical field is certainly an accomplishment, and Oda looks passably impressed. Into the curio shop they go, immediately met with a bookshelf full of strange topics. Oda scans the spines, spotting everything from "Hatching & Raising Dragons" to "Flora of the Dream Garden". He's spoiled for choice.]

Is anything jumping out at you?

[ When Haruaki wakes up on Christmas and looks outside... there is a mysterious paper bag!!

Inside... there is a school uniform.

Actually no. Not quite. It looks like a school uniform, but it's like the top and the skirt are sown together to be one piece? Anyways, there's a note with it. ]

Mr. Haruaki!!! Merry Christmas!!! I tried asking for help on sewing a school uniform, but they ended up making it as a one piece! I considered cutting it in half, but then I think you'd cry, so I'm giving it to you like this for you to do what you want! A one of a kind school uniform that no other school has. It's awesome, kind of like Sailor Moon! Power of love!! And! Peace!!!

Christmas Present!

[Haruaki's gift comes in the form of a simple red envelope, tucked between a pair of warm Christmas-themed mittens, and containing an origami folded into the shape of a sailor uniform. If Haruaki unfolds it, a simple note is written inside the origami paper.

'1 from the Specials Page once we're back home. And I did drink all of it. >:P

-Merry Christmas'

He didn't, but he also doesn't like to be told what to do, so he's going to be contrarian (and keep the good booze till there's a nice reason to break into it) just because.]

12/25 🎁

[ Akira was almost too eager to bother with wrapping but he still managed, nice ribbons over nice paper for a box small enough to be for some kind of jewelry. But instead what's inside is...

Well. Something obviously handmade. The stitching is phenomenal, everything hemmed and lined with care, but pattern pieces--if there were any--seem to have been a little mismatched, making the whole thing off center. But it should still work as it's intended: a sailor uniform the perfect size for any of the plush dolls Haru collected from the recent fan event.

And a promise to try again. He's got more, after all, and singling one out wouldn't be fair to the others or to Haruaki.

I've known types like that.

[Nothing wrong with 'em. Oda picks up the book. This gift-buying shit is easy.]

You mentioned wanting help with Akechi's gift too. I'm not sure how much I can really tell you, though...

[Packed in a plain green box with a red ribbon is a seifuku. The sewing is, charitably, rough and amateurish, and clearly some vague guesses were made as to the outfit's measurements, but it is, unmistakably, a sailor uniform.

The main feature of the gift, though, is the little speaker stitched into the collar. There's a button on it which, when pushed, plays a prerecorded voice that greets Haruaki and tells him the time.

A note is attached: Technically it doesn't actually think or talk for itself, but thought you might get a kick out of it anyway.]
